Mush Muniru (13 points, 14 rebounds), the Lehman College women's basketball team lost the consolation game of the annual CUNY Coaches vs Cancer Tournament, 74-46, to University of Saint Joseph's-Conn. at The APEX Main Gym on Saturday. The Lightning fall to a 5-5 overall record, while the Blue Jays go to a 5-5 mark.
For a second consecutive game, Lehman struggled in the opening period (23-9) and fell too far behind to muster any comeback later in the game. The Lightning shot 26 percent from the field on Saturday, while the Blue Jays hit 48 % of their baskets for the victory.
The highlight for Lehman was Figueroa who along with her double digits in points and rebounds she added four steals and three assists to earn all-tournament accolades.
In the CUNY Coaches vs Cancer Tournament finale on Saturday, Trinity College topped Neumann University, 83-59.
The Lightning will be back in action in 2025 when it travels to Montclair State University for a non-conference encounter on January 4th at 1 pm ET.
