Bronx, N.Y. - The 2024 CUNYAC Swimming and Diving Championships continued at The APEX Pool with Day 2 events on Saturday as
Ronald Sanchez claimed gold for Lehman College during the men's 100 Backstroke with a time of 52.16.
Ronald Sanchez along with
Adam Byrne,
Brandon Coombs and
Roger Sanchez all captured the silver on Saturday for the Lightning men (currently second with 121 Points) in the 800 Freestyle Relay clocking in at 7:29.91.
Roger Sanchez also obtained silver in the 200 Freestyle (1:53.68), while
Brahian Castillo,
Joseph Fernandez,
Juan Rodriguez and
Romulo Valadez won the bronze in the 200 Medley Relay (2:00.77).
For the Lehman women (fifth with 62 points),
Arlene Suzana took the third place in the 200 Freestyle (2:13.26) and she was also on the bronze medal side at the 800 Freestyle Relay (9:53.61) along with
Avery Engstrom,
Ofelia Valadez and Gisely Velez.
The CUNYAC Championships conclude at The APEX Pool on Sunday with day three events starting at 10 am ET.
