Danelli Lora has been named a CUNYAC All-Star, while
Brandon Coombs and
Ofelia Valadez from the Lehman College men's and women's swimming teams claimed CUNYAC Sportsmanship Awards following conclusion of the conference championships.
Lora, a junior and native of the Bronx, earned her spot on the All-Star Team as a result of her gold medal in the 1-Metter diving competition at the recent CUNYAC Championships.
Coombs was selected by CUNYAC coaches to receive the Sportsmanship Award as well as being an All-Star. During the CUNYAC Championships he walked away with six medals during the three-day conference championships over the weekend at The APEX Swimming Pool. A Brooklyn native, Coombs, who was instrumental in Lehman finishing second in the overall standings at the CUNYAC event, captured the gold as part of the 400 Freestyle Relay Team (3:17.10); won silver as a member of the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:28.43), 400 Medley Relay (3:46.60) and 800 Freestyle Relay (7:29.91); and claimed bronze in the 200 IM (2:06.31) and 100 Freestyle (48.96).

Roger Sanchez and
Ronald Sanchez were also named All-Stars as they captured gold in the 400 freestyle relay.
Valadez also received accolades as she was named to the All-CUNYAC Sportsmanship Team. The Yonkers native earned a bronze medal as part of the 800 Freestyle Relay side (9:53.61).
