New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team fell 3-1 (21-25, 11-25, 25-22, 23-25) in a CUNYAC match to hosts John Jay College at the Doghouse on Thursday. The Lightning go to a 7-10 overall record and 4-4 in CUNYAC action, while the Bloodhounds improved to a 12-5 mark and 6-2 in conference play.
After dropping the first two sets, Lehman battled back and took the third. However, John Jay claimed the match after winning the fourth set.
Ray Rodriguez led the Lightning offense with a 'double-double' as he posted 14 kills and 20 digs.
Alain Abreu Esteva also had a 'double-double' notching 12 kills and 10 digs, while
Christian Agudo did the same (double-double) as he dished out 32 assists and grabbed 11 digs.
Lehman returns to action next Tuesday (March 19th) when it travels to take on Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC encounter with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
