New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team's four-match winning streak came to an end on Thursday evening as it dropped a CUNYAC encounter, in three- sets (14-25, 17-25, 16-25) against hosts Hunter College, at the Sportsplex. The Lightning go to a 7-9 overall record and 4-3 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks improved to a 7-6 mark and 5-0 in conference play.
After losing the first set, Lehman held Hunter to a 2-2 tie early in the second set. However, the Hawks went on a 23 to 15 run to win the second set. Hunter claimed the match after winning the third set.
Alain Abreu Esteva led the Lightning offense with seven kills, while
Neithan Pilay notched five kills.
Ray Rodriguez added four kills, while
Christian Agudo dished out 18 assists with three kills.
Lehman returns to action on next Thursday (March 14th) when it travels to take on John Jay College in a CUNYAC match-up at 6 pm ET.
