Purchase, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell by a score of 5-2 against the hosts Manhattanville University, in a non-conference encounter, at Manhattanville Tennis Courts on Wednesday.  The Lightning go to a 1-4 overall record, while the Valiants improved to a 3-1 mark.

The Lehman highlights came in singles encounter when Viola Avdyli and Amya Sanchez were victorious.

Avdyli won her #1 singles match, 6-2-6-4, over Amaya Ortiz of Manhattanville, while Sanchez triumphed in her #6 singles encounter for the Lightning, 6-3, 6-2, over the Valiants' Mikhalia Grant.

Lehman returns to action on Thursday (September 19th) when it travels for a CUNYAC match against York College-NY at 3 pm ET.
