Alanis Vasquez had six kills each to lead the Lehman College women's volleyball team to a three-set (25-15, 25-17, 25-16) win over hosts York College-NY in a CUNYAC match at YC Gymnasium on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 3-6 overall record and 1-1 in conference action, while the Cardinals drop to a 1-6 mark and 0-2 in CUNYAC play.
After winning the first two sets, Lehman had a slim 9-8 advantage over York-NY in the third set. The Lightning went on a 16 to 8 run to win the set and the match.
Ana Mena dished out 14 assists and grabbed five digs for Lehman, while
Garyana Altidor had seven assists with 14 digs.
The Lightning return to action on Thursday (September 24th) when they welcome College of Mount St. Vincent, in a non-conference affair, at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
