Heaven Figueroa posted her ninth 'double-double' of the season on Wednesday as she scored 25 points and grabbed 14 rebounds to lead the Lehman College women's basketball team to a 65-54 victory against the hosts Medgar Evers College, in a CUNYAC match-up, at the Cougars Cave. The Lightning go to an 8-7 overall ledger and an unblemished 4-0 mark in conference play, while the Cougars dropped to a 2-8 record and 2-2 in CUNYAC action.
After trailing by one (21-20) in 5:26 mark of second quarter, Lehman went on a 14 to 6 run to take a seven-point advantage into the intermission. The Lightning never trailed after that and outscored the Cougars 31 to 27 in the final two periods for the victory.

Emily Kennedy notched 18 points with seven rebounds for Lehman, while teammate
Mush Muniru also had a 'double-double' as she scored 12 points and had 14 rebounds. Center
Ciara Shillingford was two points shy of a 'double-double' as she added eight with 10 boards.
The Lightning are back in action this Saturday (January 18th) when they hosts CUNYAC rival John Jay College, during Alumni Day, at The APEX Main Gym, with tip-off set for noon.
