Bronx, N.Y. – A 'triple-double' (29 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists) by forward
Emily Kennedy led the Lehman College women's basketball team to end its three-game losing streak after topping visiting CCNY, 60-57, in a CUNYAC encounter, at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 9-10 overall record and 5-3 in conference play, while the Beavers dropped to a 1-12 mark and 1-7 in CUNYAC action.
After trailing by three at the end of the third quarter, Lehman outscored CCNY 21 to 15 in the last period for the victory.
Kennedy also had seven steals for the Lightning on Tuesday, while forwards
Mush Muniru,
Nikol Gnoutou and guard
Julieni Martinez all added eight points each.
Lehman is back in action on Friday (January 31st) when it travels to take on Brooklyn College in a CUNYAC match-up at 5 pm ET.
