CUNYAC Championships Day 1: Men’s Swimming Currently Second

Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's swimming team is currently second in the overall point standings, with 48, after the first day of competition during the CUNYAC Championships on Friday at The APEX Pool.

Leading the way for the Lightning men are the four-team group of Ronald Sanchez, Jefferson Tejera, Roger Sanchez and Romulo Valadez as they claimed silver medals in the 200 Freestyle Relay and 400 Medley Relay with times of 1:30.86 and 3:49.12, respectively.

Tejera also captured the bronze for Lehman in the 50 Freestyle race as he clocked in at 22.35.

The Lightning women currently have 17 overall points (fifth) after the conference championship opening day.
