Phoenixville, Pa. – For the first time since 2014, the Lehman College men's volleyball team commence the season winning four consecutive matches after it topped the hosts University of Valley Forge 3-1 (23-25, 25-22, 25-20, 25-15) in a non-conference affair on Friday evening at the UVF Gymnasium. The Lightning go to an unblemished 4-0 overall record, while the Patriots dropped to a 2-1 mark.
After losing the first set, Lehman rebounded, winning the next three sets to claim the match.
Emmanuel Cochran led the offense for the Lightning with nine kills, while
Almir Pepic had eight kills and six digs.
Alain Abreu Esteva notched seven kills, while
Christian Agudo dished out 28 assists and
Ray Rodriguez grabbed 10 digs.
The Lightning are back in action on Tuesday (February 4th) when they travel to take on College at Old Westbury, in a non-conference match at 6 pm ET.
