New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team fell in three-set (17-25, 16-25, 10-25) CUNYAC match to hosts CCNY on Friday evening at Nat Holman Gymnasium. The Lightning go to a 2-11 overall record and 0-3 in conference play, while the Beavers improved to a 5-12 mark and 2-2 in CUNYAC action.
Lehman had a 16-15 lead in the first set, before CCNY went on a 10 to 1 run to take the opening set. The Beavers then won the next two sets to claim the match.
Elainne Rojas Mesa and Alanis Vasquez had two kills each for the Lightning, while Vismariely Fernandez dished out five assists and grabbed eight digs.
Lehman will look be back in action next Tuesday (October 14th) when it travels to Brooklyn to take on Medgar Evers College, in a CUNYAC encounter, at 6 pm ET.
