Amidst a steady rain, the Lightning men's soccer (6-1-3: 2-1-1) defeated the Beavers of CCNY (0-7-4:0-1-2) 1-0 Saturday afternoon. 

With the game tied at half, Lehman's Ashraf Abubakar tallied his third goal of the season on a right footed blast past the diving CCNY keeper, Rudy Guttierrez, five minutes into the second half for the games only score.
 
The Lighting controlled most of the game out-shooting the Beavers 14-3.  Guttierrez was called upon to make 8 saves to keep the advantage to just one.  Conversely, Andres Barajas, the Lehman goalie made just two saves, securing his fourth shutout of the season. 
 
The Lightning return to action on Wednesday afternoon to face defending CUNYAC  champion Hunter College at 3 PM on Randalls Island.
