Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team fell by a score of 7-0 to visiting Rutgers University-Camden, in a non-conference match, at The APEX Courts, on Friday. The Lightning go to a 3-6 overall record, while the Scarlet Raptors improved to a 7-3 mark.
After losing all three doubles encounters, the only highlights for Lehman were Fernanda Navarrete and Esther Matthews as she each avoided complete shutouts in their respective singles matches. Navarrete dropped 6-1, 6-1, decisions in #3-singles to Grace Albert of Rutgers-Camden, while Matthews lost #6-singles, 6-1, 6-2, to the Scarlet Raptors' Leila O'Brien.
The Lightning will be back in action on Saturday (October 18th) when it hosts Albertus Magnus College, in a non-conference match, at The APEX Courts with doubles action commencing at 1 pm ET.
