Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped a three-set (9-25, 17-25, 11-25) CUNYAC match to visiting Brooklyn College on Tuesday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to 3-13 overall record and 1-4 in conference play, while the Bulldogs improved to a 10-13 mark and 4-2 in CUNYAC action.
After losing the first set, Lehman had a 17-15 lead in the second. However, Brooklyn went on a 10-0 run, to claim the set and then took the third to win the match.
Vismairely Fernandez paced the Lightning offense with four kills, while
Abena Abankwa had three kills.
Ayah Hamdaoui dished out 11 assists, while
Chloe Colon grabbed eight digs.
Lehman will be back in action on Thursday (October 30th) as it travels to Phoenixville, Pa. to take on University of Valley Forge, in a non-conference match, at 5 pm ET.
