The Lehman Men's Soccer Team dropped a hard fought 4-2 decision earlier today on the South Field to CUNYAC rival John Jay. It was Lehman's (4-1-3:0-1-1) first loss of the season. Meanwhile, the Bloodhounds improved to 2-8-1:1-0-1).
The Lightning opened the scoring in the 11
th minute when
Koky Duarte, found the back of the net off a feed from
Brandon Dennis. Eleven minutes later the Bloodhounds answered on a right footed shot by Sekou Sheriff. The scored stayed tied at one, until the 48
th minute when Josh Brayan gave John Jay the lead off an assist from Helmer Herrera. In the 64
th minute, the Bloodhounds doubled their advantage off the foot of Sheriff where Eden Haftzadi was credited with the assist. The Lightning cut the deficit to 3-2 as Duarte headed in a pass from
Lance Brdaric 25 minutes to play. Haftzadi added an insurance goal for the Bloodhounds in the 74th minute for the final margin of victory.
The Lightning return to action Wednesday afternoon as the Cougars of Medgar Evers invade the South Field. Kick-off is slated for 4 PM.
