Bronx, N.Y. – Two goals each from forward Koky Duarte and midfielder Brandon Dennis paced the Lehman College men's soccer team to a 9-0 blanking of hosts Medgar Evers College in a CUNYAC encounter held at South Field on Thursday. The Lightning go to a 5-1-3 overall record and 1-1-1 in conference play, while the Cougars dropped to a 1-9-1 mark and 0-3 in CUNYAC action.

Lehman jumped out to a 4-0 lead at the intermission after Brandon Dennis notched his two tallies, while forwards Ashraf Abubakar and Ibrahim Kone each added a goal.

In the second half, the Lightning scored five more times with Duarte hitting a pair, while defender Muneum Alhassan, midfielder Dalton Charlton and forward Joseph A. Opesanwo all added a tally.

Lehman goalkeepers Andres Barajas and Matthew Strainez saw each in each half and shared the shutout victory.

The Lightning are back in action on Saturday (October 11th) when it hosts CCNY, in a key CUNYAC encounter, at South Field with kickoff set for noon.
