Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team fell by a score of 5-2 to visiting Purchase College, in a non-conference affair, at The APEX Courts on Monday. The Lightning go to a 2-5 overall record, while the Panthers improved to a 5-4 mark.
In doubles action, the Lehman #3-duo of Ndeye Ndiaye/Mamie Kolley won 6-1 over Julie Cova/Carolina Fraser of Purchase.
In singles matches, Lightning's #1-Gabriela Vargas defeated the Panthers' Amelia Perlmutter, 6-4, 6-4.
Lehman will be back in action on Wednesday (October 8th) when it travels to Wayne, N.J., to take on William Paterson University, in a non-conference encounter, at 4 pm ET.
