Scranton, Pa. – Despite a 'double-double' (13 points, 16 rebounds) from forward
Ricardo Dixon, the Lehman College men's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker, 57-55, to hosts the University of Scranton in the opening round of the Hilton Scranton Invitational Championship on Friday at John Long Center. The Lightning go to a 0-1 overall record, while the Royals improved to a 1-0 mark.
After trailing by nine (38-31) midway through the second half, Lehman went on a 24 to 17 run to tied it at 55-55 with 1:18 remaining. However, Scranton guard Jon Spatola notched the winning basket with five seconds left to book a spot in the tournament finals against DeSales University on Saturday (November 8th).

Amar Ndiaye added 11 points and six boards for the Lightning as they will meet Neumann University in the tournament's consolation game at John Long Center on Saturday at 2 pm ET.
