Scranton, Pa. – Despite a 'double-double' (13 points, 16 rebounds) from forward Ricardo Dixon, the Lehman College men's basketball team dropped a heartbreaker, 57-55, to hosts the University of Scranton in the opening round of the Hilton Scranton Invitational Championship on Friday at John Long Center.  The Lightning go to a 0-1 overall record, while the Royals improved to a 1-0 mark.

After trailing by nine (38-31) midway through the second half, Lehman went on a 24 to 17 run to tied it at 55-55 with 1:18 remaining.  However, Scranton guard Jon Spatola notched the winning basket with five seconds left to book a spot in the tournament finals against DeSales University on Saturday (November 8th).
