Bronx, N.Y. – A pair of 'double-double' from forwards Ricardo Dixon (17 points, 10 rebounds) and Amar Ndiaye (13 points, 12 rebounds) weren't enough for the Lehman College men's basketball team as it lost a heartbreaking 75-74 non-conference decision to visiting Arcadia University, at The APEX Main Gym, on Tuesday evening. The Lightning dropped to a 6-6 overall mark, while the Knights improved to a 6-4 record.
After trailing by nine points (73-64) with two minutes remaining in the game, Lehman went on 8 to 2 run to cut Arcadia's advantage to just three (75-72) with 45 seconds left on the clock.
Lightning forward Tyler Harts grabbed a rebound off a missed three-pointer by guard Kesean Tracey and he hit a layup and was fouled to make it a one-point lead for the Knights with two seconds remaining. However, Harts' missed the free-throw for the possible three-point play as the visitors held on for the win.
Lehman returns to action on Saturday (January 3rd) when it travels to Hackettstown, N.J. to take on Centenary University, in a non-conference match, at 2 pm ET.
