Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's basketball team got back on the winning track during Saturday's home regular season finale as it topped Hunter College, 83-69, on Senior Day, at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to a 17-7 overall ledger and 11-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks dropped to a 5-19 mark and 3-10 in conference play.
After Hunter took a 14-13 lead midway through the first half, Lehman went on a 23 to 9 run to take a 13-point advantage at the intermission and never trailed after that.
Forward
Kai Parris, who was also of the Lightning Seniors' honored before the game, notched another 'double-double' with 26 points and 10 rebounds, while guard
Kahleem Jennings also registered a 'double-double' as he scored 15 points and dished out 12 assists. Forwards
Lasana Camara and
Brandon Marks, who were both honored as well, recorded 13 and 10 points, respectively.
Playoff bound Lehman will look to secure one of the top seeded CUNYAC berths into the semifinals as it travels for the regular season finale at Baruch College on Tuesday (February 18th) at 7:30 pm ET.
