Bronx, N.Y. – A 'double-double' (12 kills, 12 digs) from
Ray Rodriguez pace the Lehman College men's volleyball team to a three-set (25-14, 25-12, 25-20), non-conference, victory against visiting Saint Elizabeth University, at The APEX Main Gym on Tuesday evening. The Lightning go to a 6-1 overall ledger, while the Eagles dropped to a 2-8 mark.
After taking the first two sets, Lehman held on to a 16-16 deadlock with Saint Elizabeth in the third set. The Lightning went on a 9 to 4 run to win the set and the match.
Emmanuel Cochran added to the Lehman offense with 10 kills, while
Christian Agudo dished out 27 assists and nine digs.
The Lightning return to action on Thursday (February 20th) when they travel to Brooklyn take on Medgar Evers College, in a CUNYAC match-up, at 6 pm ET.
