Emmanuel Cochran notched seven kills and three service aces to lead the Lehman College men's volleyball team to a three-set CUNYAC victory (25-5, 25-6, 25-5) against hosts Medgar Evers College on Thursday evening at the Cougars Cave. The Lightning go to a 7-1 overall ledger and 1-1 in CUNYAC action, while the Cougars dropped to an 0-5 mark and 0-3 in conference play.
After winning the first two sets, Lehman trailed early (2-1) in the third against Medgar Evers. The Lightning went on a 24 to 3 run to win the set and the match.
Abdoylaye Kante had six kills for Lehman, while
Ray Rodriguez registered five kills and nine service aces.
The Lightning are back in action on Monday (February 24th) when they travel to take on Yeshiva University, in a non-conference encounter, at 7 pm ET.
