Bronx, N.Y. – Guard Heaven Figueroa (34 points, 13 rebounds) and forward Mush Muniru (10 points, 12 points) both had 'double-doubles' to pace the Lehman College women's basketball team as it defeated visiting Medgar Evers College, 72-55, in a CUNYAC encounter, on Tuesday evening, at The APEX Main Gym.  The Lightning go to a 10-11 overall record and 6-4 in conference play, while the Cougars dropped to a 2-14 mark and 2-8 in CUNYAC action.

Lehman jumped out to a 20-9 lead after the first quarter and then continued to outscore Medgar Evers in the next two periods.  The Cougars attempted a comeback as it went on a 22 to 7 run in the last quarter, however the Lightning held on for the victory.

Forward Emily Kennedy added 11 points for Lehman, while center Ciara Shillingford notched eight points.

The Lightning are back in action on Friday (February 7th) when they hosts York College-NY, in a CUNYAC match-up, at The APEX Main Gym with tip-off set for 5 pm ET.
