Heaven Figueroa was two assists shy (eight) of a 'triple-double' as she notched 28 points with 10 rebounds to lead the Lehman College women's basketball team to a 69-46 win over visiting York College-NY, in a CUNYAC match-up, on Friday evening, at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning go to an 11-11 overall record and 7-4 in CUNYAC action, while the Cardinals dropped to a 2-15 mark and 2-9 in conference play.
After trailing by one (12-11) in the opening quarter, Lehman outscored York-NY in the next three periods to pull away and post a 23-point win. Lehman's 11th victory this season is the most since the 2017-18 campaign.
Figueroa also had seven steals in the game for the Lightning, while forward
Emily Kennedy recorded 22 points with eight rebounds and seven assists. Forward
Mush Muniru also registered a 'double-double' as she scored 12 points and grabbed 13 boards.
Lehman continues CUNYAC action on Wednesday (February 12th) when it travels to take on John Jay College at 6 pm ET.
