Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team dropped a non-conference twin-bill to visiting University of Valley Forge (14-9, 3-1) at South Field on Thursday. The Lightning go to an 0-8 overall record, while the Patriots improved to a 6-11 mark.
In the opener, Lehman came back to take an 8-6 lead after four innings, however Valley Forge scored eight runs in the next two innings to pull away and post the victory. Infielders

Rinel Maldonado had two RBI each for the Lightning, while catcher
Leniel Rivera, shortstop
Ryan Rosa and centerfielder
Kevin Arias all scored twice.
In the nightcap, the Valley Forge jumped out to a 3-0 lead after five innings of action. Lehman got on the scoreboard with a homer from
Juan Maldonado, however the Patriots held on for the win
The Lightning will attempt to obtain its first victory since May 9, 2023, when it travels to take on Western Connecticut State in a non-conference encounter next Tuesday (March 25th) at 4 pm ET.
