Jamaica, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team got back on the winning side of the court as it defeated hosts York College-NY, in three-sets (25-21, 25-20, 25-11), in CUNYAC action, on Tuesday evening at the YC Gymnasium. The Lightning go to a 13-7 overall record and 5-7 in conference play, while the Cardinals dropped to a 5-12 mark and 3-8 in CUNYAC action.
After Lehman took the first two sets, York came back in the third set and took an 18-13 lead. The Lightning then went on a 12 to 3 run to win the set and the match.
Emmanuel Cochran registered 11 kills and three blocks for Lehman, while Oscar Calderson recorded 10 kills and five blocks.
Ray Rodriguez notched six kills and 10 digs, while
John Zerafa posted a 'double-double' with 25 assists and 11 digs.
Levi Rosario also added 16 digs.
The Lightning are back in action on Thursday (March 27th) when they hosts Baruch College, in a CUNYAC encounter, at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
