New York, N.Y. – Seven kills by Emanuel Cochran wasn't enough for the Lehman College men's volleyball team as it fell in three sets (21-25, 12-25, 21-25) to hosts Hunter College, in a CUNYAC match, on Thursday evening, at Hunter Sportsplex. The Lightning go to an 11-4 overall record and 3-4 in CUNYAC action, while the Hawks improved to a 9-6 mark and 4-0 in conference play.
After losing the first two sets, Lehman took an 8-7 lead midway through the third set. Hunter then went on an 18 to 13 run to win the set and the match.
Alain Abreu Esteva and
Almir Pepic had four kills each for the Lightning, while
Christian Agudo dished out 14 assists.
Lehman returns to action next Thursday (March 13th) when it visits John Jay College, in a CUNYAC encounter, at 6 pm ET.
