Teaneck, N.J. – The Lehman College baseball team posted its first victory since May 9, 2023 (42 games streak) during the opener, 7-6, of the non-conference twin-bill, against the hosts Yeshiva University on Tuesday at FDU. The Lightning (1-14) dropped the nightcap to the Maccabees (1-19), 9-5.
Yeshiva had a 6-4 lead after six innings of action in the opener, before Lehman battled back and scored two runs in the seventh and the game-winner in the eighth. Designated hitter

Kevin Arias both drove in two runs and scored for the Lightning, while rightfielder
Elias Fermin added two runs and an RBI.
Justin Chamorro also pitched a complete game with 13 strikeouts for Lehman.
In the nightcap, Yeshiva again had the advantage (9-3) after five innings of play, before Lehman attempted a comeback with a run in the sixth and seventh, respectively, however the home side held on for their first win since 2022.
The Lightning will be back in action on Saturday (April 12th) when they hosts Baruch College, in a CUNYAC twin-bill, at South Field, with first pitch set for noon.
