Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped a three-set (18-25, 19-25, 14-25) non-conference match against visiting University of Mount St. Vincent at The APEX Main Gym on Thursday evening. The Lightning go to a 1-2 overall record, while the Dolphins improved to a 2-5 mark.
After dropping the first two sets, Lehman took a 7-6 lead early in the third set. However, Mount St. Vincent went on a 19 to 7 run to win the set and match.
Alanis Vasquez led the offense for the Lightning with four kills and nine digs, while Ayah Hamdaoui dished out nine assists and had four service aces. Amariah Emanuel-Tyler also notched four service aces.
Lehman returns to action on Saturday (September 13th) when it travels to New Jersey to compete in a tri-match against Cairn University and the hosts Rutgers-Newark.
