The Lehman College women's tennis team dropped a non-league match to Sarah Lawrence 6-1 and fall to 1-1 on the young season.  The Gryphons are also 1-1.

The lone Lightning point came at first singles where Gabriela Vargas defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-1.  

Lehman did win at second doubles as Elizabeth Nlemchukwu and Fernanda Navarrete defeated the team from Sarah Lawrence 7-5.  However, the Gryphons prevailed at first and third doubles to take the doubles point.  

The Lightning return to action on Tuesday afternoon as they travel to Newburgh, NY to face Mount Saint Mary at 3:30 PM.
