Box Score Wayne, N.J. – The Lehman College women's soccer team lost a 4-0 non-conference encounter to hosts William Paterson University on Tuesday evening at Pioneer Soccer Park. The Lightning go to an 0-3 overall record, while the Pioneers improved to a 5-3 mark.
William Paterson got two goals in the first half when forward Isabella Sarra and midfielder Janie Henderson scored in the fifth and 13th minutes, respectively, for a 2-0 halftime advantage. The Pioneers closed out the scoring in the second stanza with tallies from midfielder Samantha Donovan in the 51st minute and forward Christina Jimenez with five minutes remaining for the 4-0 final.
The highlight for Lehman was goalkeeper Katelyn Rice as she posted 10 saves.
The Lightning will aim for their first victory of the season when hosting Centenary University-NJ, in a non-conference match-up, at South Field on Saturday (September 27th) at noon.
