New York, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team lost a three-set CUNYAC match (11-25, 9-25, 17-25) to hosts Baruch College at the ARC Arena on Thursday evening. The Lightning go to a 1-8 overall record and 0-2 in CUNYAC action, while the Bearcats improved to a 3-10 mark and 2-0 in conference play.
After dropping the opening set, Lehman had an early 2-1 advantage in the second set. However, Baruch went on a 24 to 7 run to take the second set and then claimed the third to win the match.
Chloe Colon posted three kills and 10 digs for the Lightning, while Cheyenne Gray-Taitt notched three kills. Alanis Vasquez added two kills and three digs, while Ayah Hamdaoui dished out five assists and grabbed three digs.
Lehman will look to end its current seven-match losing streak when it hosts College at Old Westbury, in a non-conference encounter, at The APEX Main Gym with first serve set for 6 pm ET.
