Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team dropped a 4-3 CUNYAC match to visiting Brooklyn College on Tuesday at The APEX Courts. The Lightning go to a 2-4 overall record and 0-3 in CUNYAC action, while the Bulldogs improved to a 5-3 mark and 3-0 in conference play.
After losing two of the three doubles encounters, Lehman could only win three singles matches as #1-Gabriela Vargas led the way with a 6-0, 6-0 triumph over Joyce Benjamin of Brooklyn.
Lightning's Isis Everett was victorious in #5-singles as she topped the Bulldogs' Sarah Laniado, 6-1, 6-7, 6-0, while Lehman's Ndeye Ndiaye defeated Kristen Vega of Brooklyn, in #6-singles, 6-7, 6-4, 11-9.
The Lightning are back in action on Monday (October 6th) when it hosts Purchase College, in a non-conference match, at The APEX Courts with doubles action commencing at 4 pm ET.
