Bronx, N.Y. – Eight kills by
Jordan Johnson led the Lehman College men's volleyball team to its first win of the season after defeating visiting Brooklyn College in three sets (25-21, 25-18, 25-22) on Wednesday evening at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning improved to a 1-3 overall record, while the Bulldogs dropped to a 1-2 mark.
After taking the first two sets, Lehman trailed in the third as Brooklyn had a 16-10 lead. Then, the Lightning went on a 12 to 6 run to take the set and the match.
Oscar Calderon notched seven kills with 11 blocks and seven digs for Lehman, while
Almir Pepic added seven kills and four blocks, while
Nathaniel Matthie dished out 20 assists.
The Lightning are back in action next Wednesday (February 4th) when they travel to take on New Jersey City University in a CUNYAC match at 7 pm ET.
