Box Score 2 Allentown, Pa. – The Lehman College softball team opened its 2026 season on Friday dropping a non-conference twin-bill (18-3, 14-0) to hosts Cedar Crest College at Blaschak Field. The Lightning go to an 0-2 mark, while Falcons improved to a 2-0 record.
After Lehman jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first, Cedar Crest scored five runs in the bottom half of the inning and never trailed after that during the opening match of the doubleheader. Infielder
Damaris Adames was two-for-two with a run scored for the Lightning, while outfielder
Zenaya Ortiz was one-for-three with a run and an RBI.
In the nightcap, Lehman surrendered six runs in the first and third innings, as Cedar Crest added two more in the fourth for the twin-bill sweep. The Lightning was held to just a single hit by shortstop
Patty Sanchez.
Lehman will be back in action on Sunday, March 8th, when it travels to take on Yeshiva University.
