Men’s Volleyball Drop CUNYAC Match To John Jay

Bronx, N.Y. –  Despite a 'double-double' (10 kills, 11 digs) from Jordan Johnson, the Lehman College men's volleyball team dropped its regular season home finale to CUNYAC rival John Jay College 3-1 (20-25, 25-17, 20-25, 16-25) at The APEX Main Gym on Monday evening.  The Lightning go to a 9-10 overall record and 3-4 in CUNYAC action, while the Bloodhounds improved to a 13-10 mark and 5-2 in conference play.

After dropping the first set, Lehman quickly came back and won the second to tie the match.  However, John Jay rebounded and took the next two sets to claim the match.

Jordan added five blocks and three service aces for the Lightning, while Abdoylaye Kante had nine kills and Almir Pepic notched eight kills with eight digs.  Nathaniel Matthie dished out 23 assists with eight digs and Enea Doci registered six blocks.

Lehman will be back in action on Tuesday (March 24th) when it visits Rutgers-Newark for a non-conference match at 6 pm ET.
