Annandale-on-Hudson, N.Y. – The Lehman College men's volleyball team dropped two non-conference matches, 3-2 (23-25, 25-18, 25-23, 14-25, 10-15) and 3-1 (26-24, 24-26, 24-26, 20-25), at the Stevenson Athletic Center on Saturday. The Lightning go to a 10-12 overall record, while the Raptors improved to a 13-15 mark.
In the opener, Lehman trailed after the first set, before it posted consecutive wins in the next two to take a 2-1 lead. However, Bard came back to win the fourth set and ten captured the match by taking the fifth.
Abdoylaye Kante recorded a 'double-double' (14 kills, 13 digs) for the Lightning, while
Jordan Johnson registered 12 kills and seven digs.
Nathaniel Matthie notched nine kills with 12 digs and nine assists, while
Eric Lin dished out 23 assists and grabbed six digs.
Lehman took the first set, in the nightcap, however Bard won the next three to take the match. Johnson posted 16 kills, while Matthie and
Oscar Calderon had 11 kills each for the Lightning. Kante registered another 'double-double' (10 kills, 11 digs), while Lin had 33 assists and
Alain Abreu Esteva grabbed 12 digs.
Lehman concludes the regular season on Tuesday (March 31st) when it travels to take on Brooklyn College, in the CUNYAC finale, at 6 pm ET.
