Bronx, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team lost a non-conference encounter, 30-4, to visiting Western Connecticut State University at South Field on Tuesday. The Lightning go to an 0-15 overall mark, while the Wolves improved to a 5-11 record.
With the score tied at 1-1 after three innings of action, Lehman's pitching gave up 11 unanswered in the fourth as Western Connecticut never looked back and cruised to the victory.
The highlights for the Lightning were outfielder
Hecnel Guzman who hit a two-run homer, while infielder
Leniel Rivera had a run scored and an RBI and catcher
Emil Valenzuela also drove in a run.
Lehman returns to action on Friday (April 3rd) when it hosts John Jay College, in a CUNYAC twin-bill, at South Field with first pitch set for 3 pm ET.
