Baseball Lose Twice At Old Westbury

Yapank, N.Y. – The Lehman College baseball team lost both encounters (12-3; 13-0) of a non-conference twin-bill to the hosts College At Old Westbury at Lasorda Legacy Park on Sunday.  The Lightning go to a 0-6 mark, while the Panthers improved to a 2-0 record.

After Lehman tied the game (2-2) at the top of the fourth of the doubleheader opener, Old Westbury scored eight times to pull away for the victory. Shortstop Leniel Rivera was one-for-two with a run scored and RBI, while designated hitter Brandon Deynes was also one-for-two and drove in a run.

In the nightcap, the only highlight for the Lightning was infielder Steven Santos who had the only hit for the visiting side as he went one-for-two.

Lehman will be back in action on Thursday (March 12th) when it travels to Pomona, N.Y. to take on St. Joseph's University-NY, in a non-conference game, at 3 pm ET.
