Women’s Volleyball Drop Non-Conference Decisions To Albright, Cedar Crest

Allentown, Pa. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team dropped consecutive 3-0 non-conference matches to Albright College (16-25, 5-25, 18-25) and host Cedar Crest College (17-25, 25-27, 18-25) at Lees Gymnasium on Saturday.

In the opening match against Albright (3-3), the Lightning (0-3) showed life early in the final frame. After dropping the first two sets to the Lions, Lehman stormed out to a 7-3 lead in the third. However, Albright answered with a 22-11 run to secure the frame and the match. Olivia Boothe led the Lightning attack with six kills, while Ayah Hamdaoui orchestrated the offense with 10 assists to go along with five digs.

The nightcap saw Lehman battle host Cedar Crest (1-5) to the wire, highlighted by a thrilling, extra-points second set where the Lightning narrowly fell 25-27. Lehman carried that momentum into the third set, jumping out to a 10-9 edge. The Falcons answered the call on their home floor, using a late 16-8 run to close out the match.  Hamdaoui turned in a stellar double-double performance for the Lightning in the finale, racking up 15 assists and 11 digs. Chloe Colon paced the frontline offense with six kills.

Lehman returns to the Bronx this Tuesday, September 15, for its 2026 home opener at The APEX Main Gym. The Lightning will host non-conference rival Mount St. Mary's College-NY, with first serve scheduled for 7 pm ET.
