The Lightning was able to capture a hard fought third set, 25-22, but then was blitzed by the Dolphins in the fourth, 25-13, setting the stage for a tremendous final set that the Lightning ultimately took, 18-16.
With the win Lehman improves its overall record to 12-11 with only two games remaining on the regular season schedule. On Saturday the Lightning travels to Polytechnic Institute of New York University for a tri-match with the hosts and Cedar Crest College.
After that, Lehman will begin preparations for the CUNYAC Championships, during which the team will be the No. 3 seed by virtue of its 5-3 conference record. As a result, Lehman will host the College of Staten Island next Tuesday at the APEX in the Bronx.
