STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team is headed into the post-season, and will travel to the College of Staten Island on Wednesday, October 17, for a 3:30 p.m. match, in the Quarterfinal Round of the CUNY Athletic Conference Championships.

Lehman finished the regular season with a 3-5 mark in the CUNYAC, good enough to earn the #6 seed. Staten Island, meanwhile, earned the #3 seed by virtue of a 6-1 record. The two teams met during the regular season, on September 17, when CSI came to the Bronx and took the 9-0 victory.

The winner of Wednesday's match will advance to the Semifinals, playing the winner of the #7 John Jay/#2 Brooklyn match. The Semis will be held on Friday, October 19, at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center.

A year ago, Lehman qualified for the CUNYAC Championships as the #8 seed, and lost to top-seeded Brooklyn College 5-0.
