BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team dominated Vaughn College on Thursday, dropping just one point in sweeping all seven matches played. Lehman improves to 2-1 on the season, while the Warriors are now 0-1.
The Lightning swept all five singles matches, 10-0. First doubles saw the only point for Vaughn. Winners included:
Nellya Blinova (New York, N.Y./Moscow, Russia) at first singles;
Marisela Camano (Rosedale, N.Y./Humanities and the Arts) at second singles;
Natalie Carrasquillo (Bronx, N.Y./In-Tech Academy) at third singles;
Aminat Adebayo (Brooklyn, N.Y./Erasmus) at fourth singles;
Danielle Buckley (Bronx, N.Y./Lehman HS) at fifth singles;
Blinova and Jamie Minchala (Ozone Park, N.Y./Richmond Hill) at first doubles;
Carrasquillo and Neralda Zuniga (New York, N.Y./Dual Language and Asian Studies) at second doubles.
The Lightning return to the court on Saturday, September 15, hosting Kean University at 11:00 a.m.
