Women's Volleyball Splits Pair of Games at CUNYAC Multi-Match

NEW YORK, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team split a pair of matches at the CUNY Athletic Conference Multi-Match, held at Hunter College in Manhattan. Lehman fell to Baruch 3-0, before beating York, 3-0.

The opener was a battle between the final two unbeaten teams in the CUNYAC, with Baruch winning 25-16, 25-18, 25-20. Junior Jo-Marie Aquino (Bronx, N.Y. /Cardinal Spellman) had a match-high 11 kills to lead the way.

In the second matchup, the Lightning swept York 25-12, 25-13, 25-18. In all three sets, Lehman had long runs that propelled the Lightning to victory. Aquino had 13 kills, while classmate Cari English (Yonkers, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) had six.

Lehman is now 15-6 overall, and 5-1 in the CUNYAC. Lehman will host St. Joseph's of Brooklyn on Thursday, October 17.
