BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team earned its first win of the year on Friday afternoon, besting visiting Vaughn College, 9-0. Lehman is now 1-5, while Vaughn is 0-2.
"I am very proud of this team," said head coach Jerry Power. "They're a resilient group, and they deserved this."
The Lightning swept all three doubles matches by 8-0 scores, en route to the victory. In all, Lehman held Vaughn to just two points on the entire afternoon.
The Lightning now embark on a two-game road swing, at John Jay on Tuesday, and at Rutgers-Newark on Wednesday.
