BRONX, N.Y.- Today is a busy day for the Lehman College women's volleyball team as the Lightning will host a doubleheader at the APEX.

In the first game, Lehman will host Brooklyn College in a CUNY Athletic Conference match, scheduled to begin at 6:00 p.m. After that, the Lightning will take on the Pratt Institute of Technology, in a non-conference affair.

The Lightning are 3-0 in CUNYAC play and 9-2 overall. Lehman is riding a seven-match winning streak.

Junior middle hitter Cari English (Yonkers, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) has the seventh highest aces per set average in the nation, with 0.92. She also has a hitting percentage of 0.357, which is ranked 40th in the country.  Her classmate, Jessica Gonzalez (Bronx, N.Y./Bronx Theatre) is ranked 15th in Division III with 0.85 aces per set.
