Box Score PURCHASE, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's volleyball team beat Purchase College for the second time in ten days, winning 3-1 in a match played on Wednesday night, at Purchase College. Set scores were 14-25, 25-22, 25-17, and 25-23.
Lehman had defeated PC on September 3 by the same 3-1 score, in a match played at FDU-Florham.
The Lightning (3-6) struggled in the first set, falling 25-14, before winning the final three.
On the night, senior
Cari English (Yonkers, N.Y./Cardinal Spellman) had a match-high 16 kills, while hitting .300. She added four service aces and four solo blocks. Sophomore
Salveira Gonzalez (Bronx, N.Y./RKA) added ten kills and two solo blocks. Junior setter
Imani Dubois (West Palm Beach, Fla./J.P. Taravella) had 32 assists to pace the attack.
Lehman will now host the CUNYAC Multi-Match on Saturday, September 12. The Lightning will face CCNY at 9:00 a.m., the Baruch at 1:00 p.m.
