BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to the College of Staten Island in CUNY Athletic Conference action, on Friday afternoon.
Lehman sophomore Kantomalala Rasedoara (Woodside, N.Y./Newcomers) earned a thrilling victory at #3 singles. She dropped the first set, 6-3, but rallied to win the next two. In the second set, she won 7-6, then, in the third set tiebreaker, Rasedoara outlasted her opponent, 10-8, to clinch the victory. Â
The Lightning will travel to Hunter College on Saturday, to take on the Hawks in another conference battle. The match is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. at the National Tennis Center in Queens.
