BRONX, N.Y. – The Lehman College women's tennis team lost a tight CUNYAC match to City College, 5-4, on Thursday afternoon.

Junior Lynessa George (Bronx, N.Y./New Covenant Christian) earned a victory at #2 singles, 6-1 and 6-0, while classmate Kantomalala Rasedoara (Woodside, N.Y./Newcomers) won at #3 singles, 6-1 and 6-2. Senior Natalie Carrasquillo (Bronx, N.Y./In-Tech Academy) earned a victory at #5 singles, 6-2 and 6-3.

Sophomore Princess Roache (Brooklyn, N.Y.) and classmate Elizaveta Ostanina (St. Petersburg, Russia/APRCHS) won their #2 doubles match, 8-5.

Lehman will travel to Rutgers-Newark for a non-conference match on Saturday. The contest is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m.
